This  exciting event will utilize a 10 km lap circuit of some of the beautiful  trails at Stake Lake. The course will take the skiers through the new  stadium on each lap. It will be challenging and exhilarating.

DETAILS

Race Information 
This is a free technique event.   The kids races (up  to 13  years) start  at 10:00 am.  Mass start 11:00  am. Start and Finish will be in the new stadium   location about 800 meters from the day lodge on the  west side of  the lake.  Classes will mass start in  waves at 5-minute intervals  commencing with the  50 km class. 

Course Description 
1, 3 or 5 x 10 km laps through rolling, forested  terrain.  There will be  a relatively modest elevation  range from 1300 m to 1360 m.  Racers  will  negotiate this range twice during each lap. The  course will be  groomed for skating with one classic  track on the side.  We will have  2 food/aid stations on the course.

Timing
Skiers will be timed in the class they enter.  There  will be a cut-off time of 3 pm regardless of a racerÕs  position on the course.  Skier and Volunteer Draw Prizes  All skiers & volunteers will be entered to win one of many prizes.

Jan. 20th at Stake Lake trails, 11-3 pm.  Fischer,  Swix, Atomic and  Yoko products. Free demos...Try  new equipment on the trails.

SWIX Wax Clinic presented by X-C.com 
A free waxing clinic will be held at Spoke 'N Motion,  Saturday, Jan.  26th 6 pm, 194 W Victoria St.,  Kamloops. Merchandise discounts  available for race  entrants and volunteers.

Access 
The Stake Lake Cross Country Ski Trails are located  approximately  22 km south of Kamloops on Lac Le  Jeune Road. If traveling north  on the Coquihalla  Highway from Merritt, take Exit #336 to Meadow Creek Road.  Stake Lake Trails are about 5 km from  Exit #336.  If  traveling through Kamloops, take Exit  #366 and head to Lac Le  Jeune Road. 

Refunds 
All fees submitted with an accepted Overlander Ski  Marathon  registration are non-refundable.  In the  event of a cancellation due  to bad weather  conditions, the organizers reserve the right to   recover costs incurred.  Refunds for Òmedical  reasonsÓ available  upon receipt of a doctorÕs  certificate. 

Awards 
The awards will be presented immediately after the  race.  Prizes valued at a total of $3,000.00 will be  awarded.  Stick around for the  awards ceremony  (or, if you have to leave right away, check the  draw  prize table to see if you have won a prize).
